Individual Therapy
I will partner with you at the beginning of therapy to identify your goals for our time together and offer you concrete tools in a supportive atmosphere to help you accomplish these goals. Whether it is coping with a major life change, addressing symptoms of anxiety or depression, working through past trauma or grief, or improving your relationships, you will find the space and support in my warm, inviting office to undertake the changes and growth you are seeking.
My approach to individual therapy is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based, collaborative approach to therapy that offers concrete skills and tools to help you improve the way you feel, think, and interact with the world. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is particularly effective in assisting with problems associated with anxiety, depression, or phobias.
I also offer less directive therapy, informed by Gestalt, Client Centered, and Narrative theories, for those not experiencing acute problems or symptoms, but simply seeking to process past experiences, navigate difficult life changes, or improve their understanding of themselves, their goals, and their relationships.
Clients of all religions, backgrounds, and sexual orientations are welcomed.
